Terms of Service

Welcome to RECLIPIT. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RECLIPIT website, web application, and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by RECLIPIT ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What RECLIPIT is

RECLIPIT is a software-as-a-service tool that helps you turn publicly available short-form video content into your own branded, ready-to-post videos. RECLIPIT is a productivity tool: it does not host a content marketplace, and it does not grant you any rights in the content you choose to process.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• The free trial (10 free reclips) is limited to one per person. Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free trials is prohibited and may result in termination of all related accounts.

3. Subscriptions, billing, and reclips

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• Each plan includes a monthly allowance of "reclips" (1 reclip = 1 processed video) and a maximum number of clipping pages. Plan reclips reset at the start of each billing cycle and unused plan reclips do not carry over.
• Top-up packs roll over: reclips purchased as one-time top-ups do not expire at the end of a billing cycle and are used after your plan allowance runs out.
• Upgrades and downgrades take effect immediately; price differences are prorated by Stripe. On downgrade, pages above your new plan's limit are locked per your in-app choices.
• You can cancel anytime from Settings. Cancellation stops future billing; you keep access to your paid features through the end of the period you already paid for.
• Except where required by law, we do not provide refunds for partial months or unused reclips.

4. Promotions

From time to time we may offer promotional discounts (for example, a discount on your first month). Promotions apply exactly as described at checkout: first-month discounts apply to your first invoice only and do not recur — later months bill at the plan's full price. Promotions may be limited in quantity or duration, restricted to new customers, and modified or ended at any time.

5. Your content and your responsibility

This section matters — please read it.

• You are solely responsible for the content you source, process, create, and post using the Service, and for where and how you publish it.
• You must have the rights, licenses, or permissions required for any content you process with RECLIPIT, and you must comply with the terms of the platforms where you source and publish content.
• RECLIPIT does not review the content you process and does not grant you any rights to third-party content. Using our tool on someone else's content does not make it yours.
• You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RECLIPIT and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or any third-party rights.

6. Copyright and DMCA policy

We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same.

• If you believe content processed or made available through the Service infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice to legal@reclipit.app with: (a) identification of the copyrighted work, (b) identification and location of the allegedly infringing material, (c) your contact information, (d) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized, and (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
• We respond promptly to valid notices, including removing or disabling access to the material.
• We maintain a repeat-infringer policy: accounts that repeatedly infringe or are repeatedly the subject of valid takedown notices will be terminated.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to process unlawful, hateful, or sexually exploitative content;
• abuse, overload, or interfere with the Service, or access it by automated means outside the features we provide;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, models, or pipelines of the Service;
• circumvent plan limits, trial restrictions, promotion eligibility, or metering (including by creating multiple accounts);
• resell or white-label the Service without our written permission.

8. Service changes

We are a fast-moving product: we may add, change, or remove features, plans, and pricing. For material changes to pricing or paid features we will give you reasonable advance notice (for example, by email or an in-app notice), and changes will apply from your next billing cycle.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or create risk or legal exposure for us. Where reasonable, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to export your content. Sections 5, 6, 10, and 11 survive termination.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT YOU CREATE WILL ACHIEVE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT OR REACH.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECLIPIT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the courts located there.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
